A good smile is an invaluable trait for humans. We interact through our faces, through speech and hearing as well as through facial, non-vocal expressions. A good smile is obviously attractive, but it’s also inviting and disarming. For these reasons, someone like a celebrity cannot afford to have a bad smile (unless he/she is a character actor). Here are some celebrity smiles that owe their aesthetic beauty to cosmetic dentistry.
Yes, even the Boss has received cosmetic dentistry treatment…and looks fantastic! Really his smile was never that bad, but you know how people in the limelight are. They’ve got to look perfect, or damn near close.
4. Celine Dion
Celine Dion is considered by some to be one of the best singers in the world. If you disagree just re-listen to My Heart Will Go On and remember that it won an Oscar (Titanic went on to win a record 11 Academy Awards). But with so many people focused on your voice, they’re going to see your mouth. That’s why Celine Dion made the move for the expensive, polished mouth she has now.
3. Gary Busey
Say what you want about this guy, but Gary Busey is an awesome character actor. Normally such actors can rock weird features—like an absurd smile—and it’ll work for them. Busey was probably no different, yet drug addiction and motorcycle accidents do often breakdown any smile. That’s why Busey sports shiny, straight veneers nowadays. Don’t worry though—he’s definitely still crazy.
Posh Spice in her Spice Girls days certainly had a different mouth than the one she has now. Her teeth used to be crooked and she had a snaggletooth or two. For whatever reason, Victoria Beckham decided to do what so many Britons do: seek cosmetic dentistry.
1. Mike Tyson
Now here’s a celebrity (is he still?) that definitely needed cosmetic dentistry performed. Boxing and hockey are all about losing teeth. Tyson knew this, getting gold teeth to replace the ones he lost in the front. Then, it seems his pet tiger headbutted him, knocking out these treasured replacements. It worked out for the better because Tyson upgraded his smile, closing the gap in his teeth and getting a fresh set of shimmering veneers.
